Compiled Code as a data source
Does anyone have any examples of a c# program and that returns a record set
from sql server that could be compiled and referenced as a data source in an
RDL file? If so I would sure like an example of the C# and the RDL file that
references it. Thanks.no.. but MS Access can do this for sure

reports itself. A good sample is given in the BOL.

I mean wtf
fuck web services
fuck C#
can I put a form in a BI project and loop through all of the reports
in my PROJECT?
until I can do this; SSRS can fuck themselves

not, this will be the problem.

I had the same problem a little while back. You want to backup your
databases and uninstall the original Express Edition and install the
SP2 version.

Do I need to uninstall everything (Visual Studio 2005 part as well) ?
Which download from MS site do I use to have SQL 2005, Reporting Services,
and Business Intelligence for report creation installed?

If you have just the Express Editions, you just need to uninstall SQL
Server Express Edition and the Express Edition Toolkit (not VB.NET
Express or C#.NET Express, etc). The latest Express Edition downloads
are located here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/download/
You will want to download and install: MS SQL Server Express Edition w/
Advanced Services (SP2 Edition) and MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
Toolkit (SP2 Edition).
Both of the SP2 Editions are here at this link. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Enrique Martinez

start Business Intelligence Studio.

Hope this helps.

comparing two string columns and show difference
Hello,
I am having this problem. I have a table to log any changes to the configuration of a program. If something changes, it gets recorded in this table.
So, I have two columns: BeforeChange, AfterChange. It looks like this:
BeforeChange AfterChange
------------------------
Amount = 30.00, Quantity = 3 Amount=30.00, Quantity=2
When I query those changes, I want to show only the changed values.
So, it will show only:
ChangeMade
------
Quantity = 2
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks in advance. What about to normalize your table - problem will be resolved by itself.|||Originally posted by snail
What about to normalize your table - problem will be resolved by itself.
The problem is that, this table is filled by a program that I have no access to. (Honestly, I don't really know about the program at all)
I can only query the modificationlog table, and I have to make a report of any changes made with stored procedure.
If you can enlighten me a bit more, I would really appreciate it. I'm new to this MS SQL)
Thank you...
