complex join replication filtering is not working in 3.5 beta

Hi,

I have a complex join filtering on a replicated sql server database which was working fine in previous versions of sql compact. The query is something like the following:

SELECT <published columns> FROM <filtered table> INNER JOIN <child table> ON <child table>.ID = <filtered table>.ID and <child table>.date > getdate()-30

After I upgraded to compact databse 3.5, for some weird reason whichever tables have both these Join filter and article filter together behaving improperly. If I insert any row in any of these table, the row is replicated properly to the server, but it does not send the new row to any other users. Again this thing works fine in older version. I have switched back tyo the old version of sql ce and again it's started working.

please help.

You have to let us know a little more about your environment. - SQL Server version and SP level. Which version of Server Tools (sqlcesaxx.dll) are you using. And so on.

|||

Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition (64-bit)
Version: 9.00.2047.00
OS: Windows 2003

sqlcesa35.dll version:

3.5.5365.0

For Merge replication, it is important that you use SQL Server 2005 SP2. Try to install this, if the problem persists, log the problem at connect.microsoft.com/sqlserver

Compatible versions of Ms SQL Server, ODBC driver, Driver Manager and ODBC API s

Hi,

Please help share with me if you know the version compatibility matrix of Ms SQL Server, ODBC driver (sqlsrv32.dll), Driver Manager (odbc32.dll) and ODBC API spec. For instance, how can I know Ms SQL Server 2000 can work with which version of sqlsrv32.dll, a particular version of sqlsrv32.dll can work with which version of odbc32.dll and a certain version of sqlsrv32.dll/odbc32.dll conforms to which version of ODBC API spec (e.g. 3.5).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

vtluu.Instead of sweating bullets trying to juggle chainsaws, why not just use the current MDAC (http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/)?

compatibility issue between Reporting Services and IE7 !!!

Is there any compatibility issue between Reporting Services and IE7. We need to test compatibility with both SQL Server 2005/200 versions.

I have been using RS 2005 and IE 7 since IE 7 was released and have had no issues so far.|||The 2005 version of Reporting Services should work with no issues. The 2000 Version of Reporting Services has not been certified to work on IE7. There are known issues that make RS2000 less usable. One issue that I know of is that Document Maps do not work.|||

We are having an Issue:

In IE 6 the Report runs correctly but in IE 7 it does not display the complete Report. It cuts off the bottom.

What direction should we look?

|||

What version of Reporting Services are you using. RS2000 or 2005?

Please send me a simple repro and I can take a look to see what the issue is. bradsy@.removemicrosoft.com

|||

It is SQL Reporting Service 2005.

Will send you more info via E-Mail.

|||We have Reporting services in SQL server 2000 . IE7 cannot download the exported files ( all pdf, excel ...). It prompts an error message when export button is clicked.
It works perfectly in IE6.

Anyone has any solution.
|||I too am running into the issue of exporting reports and cannot find a solutions. Has anyone found a work around or has MS released a patch that anyone knows about?

Thanks,
Ben|||

Mr. Sullins,

I, too, am having the same problem. It appears to be something in the rdl, what it is I haven't pinned down. Interestingly, I can get the report to render without being cutoff by deleting this line in my master page:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Thanks for your help,
